Lewtham Products Quest Sidecast Centrepin Reel 4 1/4 × 1 1/2. Boxed in very good condition.
Turning foot enables front casting making it a very good specimen reel for those that struggle to cast Wallis style. Spins Lovely!

I'm considering getting some boots or wellies for the colder weather. I've seen the ski tex field boots and they look like they'll keep my feet warm also ive heard good reviews on the Arctic muck boots.
Any recommendations for winter footwear??
I currently have muckmaster muckboots and merino...
Rob. The first few doubles I had out of the Ouse a few years ago were in daylight and on a very low river! I've had the odd 'multiple' catch when the river is like that to, but not when the temperature is very high! I used to fish small baits most of the time (8mm source pellet) and had my first...
I've used my deeper pro on the Yorkshire Ouse which is a deep river in places and can be very snaggy so leading around will mean losing the odd lead mapping out swims! Also casting a float and lead/plummet out will be tricky with the depth unless your using a slider!
So far over the past 2...
I've often wondered if some of the barbel I've pulled out of this season on the Ouse are line bites and as I use a fairly long link at times they may even swim over the hook and catch it!?
Also I've had lots of 'chub' like pulls and come back with half a boilie on 2 occasions!
I picked one of these up at a local car boot!
Very lucky find I know! Although it says 'Leeda Epic Barbel' on the blank. The chap I bought it from said it was a prototype...£30!!
I have the Stillwater version and have landed Barbel on it in the past! It was a great bream rod on the river I fished as there are weed beds close in and the extra length helped keep those fish out!
I use a Reuben Heaton Digital Thermometer...but recently I've doubted it's accuracy as a few other anglers were all getting 3f less than my reading!
Ive now ordered another aquarium thermometer (which I had originally)
I do believe though that what's relavant is not the actual temperature...
I like the Korum mesh block end feeders. They are big feeders that you can fit plenty of maggots into so great for winter imo when you don't want to be casting in regularly. They are a little pricey though!
