6000 and 8000 The gear ratio is the same the spools are interchangable
I have some Shimano 6000 XTEA and some Shimano 8000 XTEA and take the spools off and I cant see any difference at all
and they are perfection on my 2.75 powermesh rods and on my Harrison Barbel rods
no idea if they are a new model as dont know if they are changed from when they first came out but a Carpng mate bought 4 when they were first released and soon got shot of them as they simple eat batteries like no tomorrow
