Strangest ever catch was at Grafham water while trout fishing......hooked, played and landed 2 rainbows but was only using a single fly!!!!!! :D
Best ever catch was a bucket...........fought like mad in deep water for 5 mins, the rolled over and gave up at the net!
Can anyone recommend a good reliable set of digitals?
I was fortunate enough to catch and weigh a large river carp 2 weeks ago and have since discovered my Rapala digitals could be upto 1lb light.....
Or you could try any fly tying mail order company.
Lead wire or the heavier tungsten wire is frequently used for tying flies......Try Sportfish @ Winforton for starters.
Ive just watched a "how to" instructional video on the AT website by a supposed big fish angler advocating the use of 7ft hooklengths.
What if any are the benefits to this????
Have a look on the snowbee web site as ive just received their sale items, some of which included neoprenes.
I have to agree with Stuart, neoprenes for winter and breathables for all other seasons.

High point of the season was my first session in June with all the anticipation and hope for the new season....
Low point was only getting my second session of the season 3 weeks ago
Mine was only 4 years ago, a Nene fish of approx 6lbs from a well known weir near to the city centre on a 1.25 Avon rod.... :)
Where was yours from and does the memory remain with you?????
My vote for the swiss army knife.....
I used to own one until one evening I was cutting up some boilies and while still holding the knife in my other hand threw the boilies into the river..........
It was at that point I realised I was still holding the boilies and the knife had gone in...
Nice fish Graham.
Had a purple patch 3 seasons ago on my local lake.
I found a shoal of large rudd in one corner of the lake and they didnt move for about 3 weeks!!!
I was knocking out 2lb fish for fun....with the smaller ones at approx 1.5lbs.
All fish came to double red maggot fished...
Had a pair of Snowbee breathables for about 5 years now and still going strong.......
If the boots have felt soles I would also invest in some studs.......and a wading staff !!:)
