It's a stunning rod. I know many would say/think it don't make/catch you more fish, but as a custom build it's probably one of the nicest rods I've seen. And a lot of thought by Daniel & his builder went into that.
I love it but unfortunately to buy this as well would mean there's something seriously wrong with me! As I've got a few of them

I always like these silver butt, especially with orange/red rubber cap. They are very practical, especially in muddy conditions.

They look nice I like how everyone has done them differently ! John is a good builder and a nice bloke to deal with he is doing a limited run of his own 3 piece 1lb specialist blank and I see the first one and it looks fab a nice understated build with some nice added touches. You may see no 1 crop up here and there as it went to a well known angler Alan Blair. I believe he has a few left of a run of 6.

Yes I agree I often bring the reel back 4 -5 inch and it’s like touch ledgering with a little wand it’s so perfectly balanced
