Are Avon stretches even worth the cost of improving the access tracks? Take Marcliff for example, I see very little coming out and match reports from around this stretch always look poor? There's probably more to improve across all their venues than the organisation can afford?

That's because Fox and Korum are owed by the same investment company (so I doubt quality is any better these days) There's a lot of similarities now between items of tackle, especially terminal tackle, the new smokescreen coloured items from korum are now very similar to Fox items.

Ok so I want to make some of my own baits from JB so what should I buy? If I went with F2 just for example, can't I just buy the base mix and make everything, including hook baits from that? Or have I got to buy the separate hook bait mix also?

I know people who had more barbel last year on creature and stick baits designed for perch than I did on normal Barbel baits. But saying that, I like to keep my lures for perch only.
