Hi Richard
I fished the stretch opposite the pub and car park last year as we rented an house in the centre of the village and fished from the garden.
The one bit advice I was given as it was my first time at SY was to fish the inside line if not catching.
I had my PB chub plus many others...
Evening all
Any opinion on the above. Is it effective for dipping / soaking your hook bait. Would it work for both pellets and meat? Another options to consider?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Terry… I’ve added a post on my LinkedIn, and my wife has added this on Facebook.
Let’s hope we can get the word out there to as many people as possible.
With the number of licences sold that’s 900000 voices . Include other river users such as canoeists , swimmers and even the general public who actually care and you’re well over a million people. That’s over 5 times the number of our armed forces. Our own force to be reckoned with and listened...
Excuse my simplistic suggestion as I have no idea if it would work .. could £2 ( or more ) be added to every rod licence sold and donated back to the AT ( or another body depending on your views) as this would raise £1.8m in revenue based on 900,000 licences.
A fair sum for any organisation.
I agree with Craig re buying cheap , buying twice. The Torrix is a fantastic rod ( I have the 11’ 1.75) but the Powermesh is a great starting point. There is also a 12’ 2.25tc version.
Daiwa Powermesh 12’ 1.75tc.
Secondhand on eBay or Marketplace.
Will cost you more than a Korum but a brilliant rod, which you can move on at a later date and not lose money if you fancy upgrading.
I’ve just had 4 reels serviced by Richard.
Been about twenty years since they were last done ( not by Rich)
His workmanship is top notch and exceptional prices for the work with quick turnaround,
Couldn’t ask for more👍.
With so many tackle shops closing it’s great to see a new one opening its doors in Edenbridge Kent. On the Sussex / Kent border it will hopefully be well supported by the angling community.
Good luck 👍
