    How high is too high?

The height ain't a problem, it's the shiiiiiiiite, that's coming down that affects it. Once fished mid trent, 4 foot on, fishing just over 2 thirds across the river, payed out 20yd of line to create a bow. Next to no rubbish coming down, 19 Barbel on a day session. Bites were just the tips...

    Feeder rod reel

Another 4000Oc, I prefer the 4000d however, I love the gold bling. Another is Daiwas 4000BRLT reels.

    Carp fishing Fluorocarbon mainline

Tiger line is good, only thing i can say is run it out first on the bank every session and give it a stretch etc. This straightens it out every time.

    Chimera c3 v daiwa basia

I have had a Torrix 2.5 and it's definitely softer, more through and lacking that power in the butt that a Basia 275 has. Basia more tippy though. It's more akin to the Basia 2.25 imo...

    The new Harrison specialist blank

You definitely wouldn't get a butt ring on a 10 footer....

    The new Harrison specialist blank

Be nice to see one with a bend in it.. personally I don't like his ring spacing, just one on the butt is bit too minimal for me and maybe 5 plus the tip again... Butt, what do I know..

You Can't Catch Barbel On The Float In Winter.....

Watched the video last night Ian. That Zeppelin is so smooth, with no rattle that u get on some pins. You rang a bell in my head when I saw the sweetcorn; having caught loads of Barbel in the past on corn(feeder). I haven't tried it on the float on the lower Trent yet, it's going in next time...

    Flavours for roach

Archive Braddock got well into the flavourings for Roach and wrote a couple of books too. Met him a few times over the years. He advised me to use flavoured dead/suffocated maggots over live flavoured maggots on the hook.. His head and enthusiasm is like a teenager, but his age is telling him...
