The best stick float rod I had was Daiwas Amorphous Tournament 13 ft 2 inch spliced tip. Closely followed by The Stick float Special. I have 2 Shaky Mach 2 Borons, which I'm more than happy with. Don't lose why spliced tip rods became popular, quick, fast and tip a tinned for close work with...
An extra 6 million people living in our country and counting, over the past 10 years, which equates to a 10% population boost. Has to go somewhere.....
It's a little like fibre glass rods, there is only so far you could go with them. Now we are at that point with carbon. The biggest change over the past few years has been reducing the resin in carbon cloths. Its quite catastrophic when this mark has been reached.
The fact MT used 2 totally different actions, totally debunks his findings. One was a through action, the other a carp rod made primarily for distance. 2 rods with totally different loading points. Now if he had used all dark Carbon rods, then he would have had my vote and probably had a rush on...

I'm a bit different, if I'm paying £350 plus for a rod, I'd like it built to my personal preference tbh. I really like the concept of the multi tip; but at the moment apart from what fellow BFW members say. I'd still be buying blind, which we have all done and quickly moved said items of...
I emailed him and he said ' he made a decision not to offer custom options and build them to what he decided was the best way and the best parts for the job etc.
Shame really as he thought he was a custom rod builder?
I'm the opposite, for some reason, I hold the rod between the little finger and the next one up. If I have a screw down, it feels uncomfortable as it does for u.
You can buy a rod that can play a fish to death, or you can buy a rod with that power to stop and get that fish in..... before it gives its all. Line breaking strain included.
