    Great Ouse stocking

9000 small barbel were stocked into the Dorset Stour over several years around about 2010 ish. At the time Andrew, it was stated that maybe 1 in 100 would possibly make adulthood.

    River carp in deep water

Clive You said the bottom.was firm but didn't say what it is. I'm guessing gravel? In which case, Hemp would be the best way forward in my opinion for pre-baiting. Hemp gets right in the gravel and will pull fish in for many days on end. I've baited remote swims with Hemp and watched barbel...

    DAIWA SENSOR LINE PROBLEMS

Hi Brian, I hope you are well. I have used sensor before in the 250 meter spools and have never had a problem. However, i have realised that Daiwa Sensor really is an inferior line in my opinion these days. In 6lb I use this...... https://gardnertackle.co.uk/product/hydro-flo/

Hinders of Swindon - great service

Neil, I'd suggest using the small elips pellets(4mm) and buying the c food glug.....

Hinders of Swindon - great service

Hmmmm..... I looked yesterday and it clearly stated free delivery over £45 ..... I cannot see it today however. I'll keep looking. I have used their products for more than 30 years. I have been tied in with them for probably 8 years now. It's worth keeping an eye out for their offers, especially...

River Kennet Burhfield - Advanced Angling

River Kennet Burhfield - Advanced Angling

Cracking fish The Kennet seems to be making a revival the last couple of years. I wouldn't fish anywhere with dodgy parking myself. Just can't relax. The RDAA ticket is good value with lots of water to go at. Some good tench pits too......

River Kennet Burhfield - Advanced Angling

The fishing is certainly worth it but it hasn't thrown up the fish it used to years ago. Lots of barbel to low teens. My main concern would be the parking. Cottage Lane used to be a big problem but I understand its better these days. The Cunning man pub is out of bounds now and I wouldn't park...

River Kennet Burhfield - Advanced Angling

That was in the Cemex days Graham. He and Neil Wayte would even be fishing the far bank swims that were out of bounds...... It used to throw up some huge fish back then to 18+ The parking was always a nightmare. We could park in the pub in them days but even that was unsafe.

    Old Daiwa powermesh twin tip

Derek, Maybe you should read my comments again. Tell me where I spat my dummy out? Advising a new member that perhaps they would get more from this forum by engaging a little more in the threads that they had started. I tend not to 'lose it' on here. I've been a member for far too long. I've...
