I know a lad local to me who has caught barbel on the newer version of the cream cajouser from nutrabaits. I don't think I have the minerals to try a sweet/creamy bait even though I know they work. Much rather be safe and stick to my fishmeal/savoury boilies
Hate to let it all go but I hardly have time to go fishing these days never mind make my own bait, but it's time to let go.
Everything to get started home rolling or knocking out a bit of bait
Been in storage so will need a bit of a clean down but nothing terrible, the tables are well looked...
Even better than baa waters you've got the brewery stretch in Coalport literally around the corner. There's also a free stretch downstream which is even more productive 😉
Oh 100% I agree with you Richard. That's why I said if the angler knows what they're doing then it's up to them. And if they know what they're doing then really they should stay well away from barbel fishing at the moment. Any fishing in my opinion. But try telling someone who thinks they're 100...
Too hot for me, did want to go this evening but il give it a miss with this heat. I don't really agree with fishing for them in this weather but each to there own as long as the angler who's fishing for them knows what there doing then that's up to them 👍
To be honest I think we all overthink it when it comes to bait. If we can catch them on bread, sweet corn and pellets then I'm pretty sure as long as the boilie is from a good reputable company and has some decent ingredients in (fish meals, liver powder, milks etc) then Its going to catch...
I think there's a previous post somewhere about someone having a long wait using them. Personally I've never used them. I got put off by the number of different baits they do.
I used the trigaa ice for a few months 2 seasons ago, it was getting colder so maybe that had an effect on why I struggled but I couldn't get a bite on it to save my life.
Hi Steven, keep at it and I'm sure youll end up breaking that pb on the Trent in no time at all. Especially if you're planning on targeting them areas 😉
Best of luck pal. I'm from Shropshire and based around the middle Severn where doubles are rare so I always appreciate the 7 and 8lbers. They...
I once made a few YouTube videos, wasn't going to mention them but a few people enjoyed them and I got good feedback off them. Have a search for 'the barbel project'. It's only amateur stuff and the first ones I made are terrible but the later ones aren't so bad 😂
