Hi Paul being a Shropshire lad I've fished the Ironbridge area of the Severn for about 70% of my fishing. It's my closest part of the Severn and also my favourite. You've got Coalport waters, the brewery stretch and also a free stretch just after and before the brewery waters which is highly...
Be careful and take your time mate, I tried this a good few years ago and ruined my rods. Luckily enough they was cheap korum 1s but still...
I now just use clip on starlites off eBay. Cheap and do the job and last as long as my sessions tend to be, in winter when it's cold they must react to...
Plenty of people using it pal, seems to work for them. I'm a big believer in barbel will eat most stuff although there is a lot of bad bait out there but there's also a lot of companies that make good stuff too and most major bait companies boilies are so similar these days it's pretty hard to...
Messed about with slk for a little bit and I've got to say I did like it. Never considered using the bug for barbel tho, the insect meal yes. The other stuff in there had me 2nd guessing wether it would be effective or not.
Just for a bit of fun, what's everyone's preferred boilie of choice. Boilies play a big part in most of our barbel fishing now and with so many different brands out there I bet we're all using so many different brands. I'm not asking for recommendations by the way and I also know that you can...
It fits in the esp quiver fine, I haven't owned many brollys I've had the fox 1 for years now and it's done the job up to now so haven't felt the need to change. Would you say it's bigger than most brollys then?
I found the TA quiver a bit to slim . I have a fox specialist brolly and i wouldn't say it's bulky when packed away but it doesn't fit in the main compartment of the ta quiver. Found this a bit disappointing. I use an esp camo quiver now and I'd say its ideal and does the job perfect
I wanted to be out for midnight but currently working doing the night shift, working tomorrow until 1am and then off to Bulgaria for 7 days Monday evening and I'm back on the 25th. Straight on the river Severn for 2 days and nights as soon as I'm back. That's the real holiday 😂
Why wasn't you going to post on here again @Simon Archer . This thread inspired me to get making some bait again for the coming season.
It was either that or try the new pro stim liver from cc Moore but thought if I put a bit of effort in and made my own I know I'd be fishing with something I...
Same here. If I could id have all mine made in cubes, I roll my own in dumbbells due to time but all my hookbaits are made by hand into little square and brick shapes. Surely this helps them not roll around on the river bed. Also, how many people are using square baits? Maybe being a little...
awesome little set up Simon, heres mine. I've spent many hours in my little bait shed and made quite a few lads happy, just never the missis after bait making sessions haha. Enjoy pal 👍
I'm sure nutrabaits are selling concrete leads called eco leads or something like that. There not lead but concrete also meaning there porous so they will take on liquids such as liquid foods. Although myself I wouldn't want any attraction where the lead would be as I want the fish focused on my...
Oh it is good mate, did me well that did. Also have plenty more in my little book and files saved to my phone.
Liver boilies, milk protein boilies, spicy boilies but the garlic fishmeals always been my favourite. I just love garlic, even on my own food 😂
