welcome Nige .... if you search back through the threads for a few weeks you will see that we have two new French members who have both been very forward in sharing info on the rivers they fish etc. Hopefully they'll look in and reply to you.
I often use a 15' rod when wading and I never use a net even for barbel, I just wade into shallower water and unhook in the water, they really do stay still, not sure why ?
thanks John but I only tie hook lengths in advance when Im going after silvers and using light lines and small hooks. I do use the foam discs for some of my feeder hooklengths.
thanks Ian, Ive still got one those Angling Times ones and a couple of the Korum ones, but ideally I prefer to keep them in their packets so i can easily see what size, pattern etc.
been meaning to ask this for a while .... how do you guys store your hook packets ? in my float gear Ive got lots of packets of different sizes, gauges etc and I usually just put an elastic band around them but the band always perishes or breaks. Anyone got a simple solution to keeping them in...
