    Im starting my tenching next week, looking forward to it. Tim, surprised you'd fish your bait on the waggler an inch off the bottom, would have thought a couple of inches over depth ? That said I was using the pop up maggot feeder rig last season but I found bottom fished baits outfished it.

    Mark, I always carry my chair, landing net pole and bank stick in my left hand, the chair just fits under my arm and I use the crossbar of the legs to hold on to, Im not exaggerating to say I can walk miles like this, rucksack on my bag and rod in my right hand, job done.

    I use bank tackle barbed hooks but always use forceps to flatten the barb, but I have and would also use barbless hooks with confidence. Per Ian's post above I don't believe barbless hooks go deeper, the barb makes it harder for hook to come out, not go in imo. Ive had a few in my fingers to...

    Andy, yes these rods are discontinued, I'm guessing they were first released around 2009 with a RRP of £330 I believe although they were sold at a discount.

    I agree Alan, Ive never weighed mine but was surprised when Richard informed me how light it was as it doesn't feel that way when in use imo.
