Hook Bait / Feed combinations ?

I was having a go with some worms as hookbait a few weeks back on a plain lead, and I started thinking about using a feeder, but didn't have any groundbait and not many worms. It got me wondering if there were any particular combinations of feed/ hookbait that people find work well, where the...

The best thing you’ve seen whilst fishing

Similar to Graham, on the Wye a few years back fishing with a friend, when a home made raft came floating down with the couple on board in the middle of enjoying themselves immensely. They waved so we waved back !!

What is it with match anglers and fish care … 😡

Can't imagine it would do the Silvers in the keep net much good having that brute thrown in with them, either ?

Opinion/user reviews of the Vass 700 waders

They'll do the job in terms of keeping you dry but will be very hot. If you don't mind the extra cost go for some breathables.

    Dead maggots for trotting?

Just get your own fridge so swmbo is happy. I buy a gallon at a time and can keep them for weeks no problem in open containers in the fridge with minimal work.

    Who to support

Like it or not, the AT is all we've got , and from what I've seen, they do some excellent work in supporting Clubs and Anglers in bringing pollution cases to court and achieving good results,. Small Clubs etc. would be urinating in the wind trying to do this themselves.

    Drought!

For what it's work, I see Otters hunting regularly , they favour shallow, fast runs where they rummage about in the Stones and come up chamming from time to time. I'm sure most of their diet is Bullheads and Stone Loach. I'm not saying they don't take larger stuff, I've seen one swimming past...
