If it was me I’d get them serviced if needed and use them, IMO the XTEAs are one of the best baitrunner models ever produced. The OCs are good but not as good
Only my opinion but there are 3 models of shimano baitrunners that are top drawer: the GT3500/4000s, XTEAs and now the Thunnus
I was thinking the same….heavy baiting and ore-baiting one or two likely stretches…would imaging you would soon get them eating boilies with pre-baiting

Superb hair in tight conditions, I tend to just hook 2 or 3 through the saddle on a large hook, then nip the tail ends off and hook those too - lovely scent trail. Key IMO is not to keep them stationary for too long, twitch them every couple of minutes to trundle them downstream a bit. The takes...
Depends on river, but if one with a healthy stock of fish I’d go downstream…cause if start catching it’s only a matter of time before the fish start dropping back downstream!!
