Korum waist trotting tray, Is this a good or dumb idea?

Way too cumbersome IMO, bait pouch with separate pots does the job …or even a good old fashioned bait apron

    New pb barbel

Stunning fish, a proper sturdy specimen 💪

    Hemp

Yeah I’ve only ever collected….there not too far from me, worth the travel if you’re not too far to stock up, they have a great range of bait products

I thought it was to go with their new baiting poles 😂

    Crimping nylon booms

I’ll have a go but got a feeling it will sit wrong on a hinged stiff rig (at least it will with my cack-handiness)

    Crimping nylon booms

How do you twizzle nylon that thick Terry? That’s a new one on me, I do it with finer line when feeder fishing but can’t get my head around doing it with thick nylon

    Crimping nylon booms

I do with wire….this is for nylon booms for carping

    Crimping nylon booms

Does anyone have any experience of crimping thick nylon like amnesia etc for making stiff booms/rigs for carp fishing? Can’t seem to get my head around it being secure….but it does look very neat! Anyone have any experience? And what crimps/tool do you use?

    New reel.

They’re nice reels, I have a 5000 size for my accys …other alternative is look at some daiwa’s in 4000 size, they make remarkably good reels for about £60

    New reel.

    Richard Isaacs spopper. Now sold

Superb bits of kit the spoppers Rich makes, I’ve been using them on stillwaters too for tench/carp to mimic my pva bags or method feeders…..no idea if it’s an advantage but it’s different to what others are doing

This is my local river the Colne at Harefield are there any rivers in the Country this damaged.

FFS how on earth are they allowed to get away with it on so many rivers for so long?….oh yeah, nearly 14 yrs of Tory rule! Imagine the power anglers could wield if we all refused to pay water bills en masse until the mess was sorted.

    Daiwa Castizm BR 25a SOLD

Yep….I have 2 castizms on carp rods and like them for that but for my river fishing much prefer the Thunnus 4000 for the Ouse and 6000 for bigger rivers, absolutely love the Thunnus they’ve coped with everything this last season

    Washing Your Net

Indeed….I do tend to clean my dead bait bags like Richard and for that I use Trigene courtesy of work (remember Trigene Bill?)

Lots of goodies (Pics to follow)

I love my insight rods, especially the 12ft barbel HD I had off you Andy a few yrs back (remember that rod?) …..never found another to make a pair. P.s you won’t go wrong buying of Andy ….quality gear.

    Washing Your Net

Don’t think I’ve ever washed my mat or net…..just tend to hang them in the garden or greenhouse to totally dry off. I know what you mean about the smell but I just take it as a reminder I do occasionally catch something 😂
