Barbel Fishing World Fish-in (No 2) 2005 The Biblins - River Wye 5th - 7th August 2005
We are very pleased to confirm the details of the second bfw fish-in of the season. BFW members have the opportunity of fishing one of the most beautiful and prolific stretches of the River Wye called The Biblins.
The Biblins is a privately owned stretch which is approx 2 1/2 miles long on both banks allowing approx 5 miles of fishing ground. The Glamorgan Anglers Club lease the stretch and have kindly allowed bfw to hold the event at one of the most beautiful, picturesque and prolific fishing venues in the UK.

Directions: The Biblins is at Symonds Yat East (please note that there is also Symonds Yat West, west is the wrong side of the river.). If you are arriving via the M5, take the exit off the M5 on to the M50 down past Ross on Wye, approx 5/6 miles past Ross heading to Monmouth there is a Little Chef on the left hand side, from here it is well signposted into Symonds Yat East. Just follow the signposts into the village, drive right through the village until you come to the Royal hotel car park, at the rear of the car park is the entry gate. It is very well signposted. If anyone did go to Symonds Yat West by mistake, it is only a few minutes out of the way, there will be plenty of people about to give directions to the East side.
Click here for directions for the Multipmap from where you live to Symonds Yat The road is the one that runs along the right hand side of the river, as you look at the map, it is the small grey marked road, it goes over the river via an iron bridge.Once over the bridge, just follow the road down to the very first turning on the right and this lane takes you down to the village.
