Yeah shame he's leaving but I can understand why, he's interviewed pretty much all the 'big' names so time for pastures new. I hope your right about Terry the Tench as that would be a good one, as would Dave Lane who can tell a story as well as anyone. That said I tend to enjoy the stuff from those anglers who live normal lives, balancing big fish angling with family life and careers rather than the 'time bandits'.I believe the Korda podcasts are finishing soon. Simon Pitt is leaving and Korda aren't doing anymore. Apparently they're having a famous guest for the last podcast, but as of yet, no one knows who it'll be. I hope it's Terry Hearn.
Same company, but different discipline. The Guru podcast with a match angler called Darren Cox is a good watch.
Derek, do you know there is a Jack Hargreaves Facebook page run by his step son , a number of us are on there. A good mix of country, ferrets, working dogs , fishing stuff etc. Search Facebook for Out of town with Jack HargreavesUsed to love Out Of Town with Jack Hargreaves, this was one of my favourite episodes. Enjoy.
I watched the Ian Macmillian one just after he died, had me in stitches and brought tears to my eyes also. Very emotional watch! The Simon Scott one is excellent, that guy knows his stuff. Another good one for very different reasons, is the one with Ian Macmillan in.
Mark top man and angler imo, he is so grounded, as is Nic, the latter seemingly becoming the proficient angler before our very eyes. He and Mark met up for a fish in episode, so some synergy.Rate Avon Angling - Nic is a top man; local to me and very watchable . . .keeps it totally real and captures both blank sessions and red letter days. Short session specialist and works / has a family but still manages to catch a few . . .solid
Not sure about Mark Erdwin - sure hes a nice chap but find him a bit OTT / nasal / squeaky . . . apols - jus' sayin . .!!
It is rewarding Robert isn't it!?The carp catcher (blog style) back catalogue very good for hits and tips
Inspired me to have a go at rolling my own bait resulting in a new mirror pb 41lb12oz
Found them all good for hints and tips
Hi Damian I’ll have a look at John baker’s channelIt is rewarding Robert isn't it!?
John Baker's channel inspires you to have a go at it also, not because he has a lot on display, but it's just his passion and his enthusiasm is quite evident.
River Piker is a font of open information on Lure fishing. If it were not for him and the help and welcome I received from a couple of guys I met through the LAS I would of given up that first winter.I have watched far too many YouTube fishing channels and have to say there aren’t many that cut the mustard. The very best imo is Terry Hearn. Sticky baits and Cadence do some good stuff as do Westin if you’re into lure fishing. Of the low budget channels I think Mark Erdwin, Perch Jesus, London Perch Finder, and Riverpiker are all worth a look.
