Hi all I'm after some advice, having never fished any of these stretches before, have a 4 day trip booked towards the end of October to lucksall park again and fancied treating myself to a day on one of these beats rather than just sticking to hdaa beats. Just wondering if any of you would suggest the better beats for this time of yr or are they all similar? Cheers in advance matt

Matt, flick to the Wye thread on the rivers section and drop Adam Fisher a line.

I'm sure he will be able to give you some advice;)

I have fished a few of them at random and caught well on all. I think its hard to recommend one as it always depends on the conditions on the day. Some you can drive to the swims and some are park and walk. They all have catch reports and I'd suggest reading those will give you the best info on form.

If you are at Lucksall you are very close to Holme Lacey 3 that is a decent beat, we'll worth a go, failing that have a look on Wye and Usk, spectacular scenery and fishing if river is behaving!
