Whipping thread colour(s)

The Chestnut and Gold that Bob Gill used on my Free Spirit Big Water rods looks the biz IMO (these pristine rods are to be sold soon as unused) PM me if interested.

Is that the new chub rods?

Very tarty Julian 😎

I do have to ask though …. Why double legged k series guides on such a light through action rod

Id of gone with single legs on that personally and cut the weight down and halved the number of whipping points.
Just fancied them on the rods Rich. A bit over kill I admit. 😊 The rods are still very light, being Titaniums.

They look great Terry, that colour combo is a contender for sure.

How are you getting on with the screw down reel seat? You don't see many rods with that configuration, i haven't had a rod with one like that for years and years.

I've been using screw down exclusively since 2002 and wouldn't choose to use anything else. They're much more comfortable on the hand (when trotting, casting, playing fish etc, and I'd much rather cork under my hand than a plastic thread & nut!). I've never had a single problem with them, and they look sooo much nicer than 'screw up'.
