Hi Jamie - I've used Big Game on the fixed spool reel this season and it's very supple, with almost zero memory. Ideal for your purposes, I would imagine.
I've also used GR60, which is slightly thicker, but incredibly durable. I had a week of moving from the Big Game back to GR60 as I lost a fish a fortnight ago when the main line snapped. Anyway I decided to give it another chance last night, for the reasons I mention above and because I've read good reports. During the session, I became snagged and put so much force into unsnagging the line, that it must be pretty strong. I retrieved all my tackle and the hook was embedded in a small branch. Suffice to say I again have confidence in the line (and my knots).....
