Where to travel?

Hello All,

Now that the new season is underway, I'm looking to make a trip to hopefully catch some barbel.

I live in Reading but I keep hearing of people fishing the Wye, the Seven and the Avon up towards the Wales area.

I was hoping some of you on here could recommend some places along these stretches which are known for holding good amounts of barbel on a day/weekend ticket?

A while ago would have said Kennet but only a shade of its former self nower days.

Should head up to barbel ally on the Severn mate. Plenty of fish, lots of day tickets. Could always join the baa for 40 quid which gives you loads of waters to fish

Hereford on the Wye, go to Woodys tackle shop, he'll sell you day ticket and put you on the fish.
