Where to fish

Hi All,
looking at fishing for a long weekend next year and was wanting to know where if any is a good place to go. i'm not expecting to catch massive amounts but a few good fish on the bank would be really nice.
a friends friend has said collingham weir but I just wanted to know if this is the best place to fish and more importantly how to fish it as I believe its tidal.
what's the best way to fish it can I rove about or is a static position is best, what baits to use etc. etc.
also is there any good accommodation near by too or are we best to bivvy up.
any help would be greatly received.

It was reported at the beginning of the season that the first 10 pegs at the weir were solidly booked until November!
