What was the last thing you bought from your local tackle shop?

Greys Prod. rucksack from Bristol Angling Centre - they matched the online price i found. Happy Days!
 
I like the look of the prodigy rucksack and their rod holdall too. Trouble is I have about 4 rucksacks as it is, could I squeeze in another hmmmmmmmm lol

Good job that chippy little humourless squirts are quite beneath me, otherwise I could find myself really getting on their case and making them look even bigger idiots than they already are...

Like to try and support my local tackle shop. Last purchase was this week and a bag of Richworth's frozen "old faithfull" Tutti-Fruttis. I do try and buy from them whatever I can, and more often than not they are as cheap as the web-based companies on products by the likes of Korum, Gardner, Korda etc. who seem to have a well structured MRRP that also seems to be well enforced (as far as a manufacturer can enforce these things)

I was after a fly rod this week, A shakespeare Odyssey and tried to let them have the order on that, even going as far as telling them the price I could get it for and suggesting that as long as they can do it for the same price as it would cost me inclusive of the P+P then I wouldn't mind. Sadly, they couldn't get anywhere near it, even with the P+P, and I'm not well off enough to throw money about just out of good will. I do think that it's only fair to give them the chance though, before just going ahead and ordering it via ebay or the onliners.

Popped into Harefield and Mark fixed my Drennan Landing-Net pole ( which I had actually bought there!) with the modified cam. Also picked up some leads, and terminal pieces.

Last week it was £40 quids worth of bait and some new sunglasses.:)

It's been a while, not through choice, but I suspect that my last purchase from my local was a few ABU spinners. It's very unusual for me to not be in my local at least once a week. I also tend to drag the owner out fishing on a fairly regular basis. I tend not to buy the bigger items of tackle from him, he knows the score and knows that he usually can't compete with the bigger on-line sellers. He tends to not even try and doesn't tend to stock top of the range gear that a tackle tart like me, or even he, would buy. He also knows that I buy the vast majority of my bait and terminal tackle from him.

I went to my local tackle shop this afternoon to stock up on a few bits only to find it closed due to Weds half day closing - on the 15th!

mine was a few weeks back for some bits n bobs and
a gallon of reds for the tench
got all i need really

Maybe you local tackle dealer is off down the river prepping his swim for midnight.

Must admit that I've been a serial web shopper in recent years. Both Specialist Tackle and Leslies have helped me out in the past and offered me great customer service. It's not that I don't want to use a tackle shop, it's just that so many of them are bloody cliquey places to visit. I said something similar last week on another forum. The Slaughtered Lamb's friendlier than most tackle shops I've been in over the years!

Up until last season I'd only found one I was happy to frequent. Tadley Angling in the Kennet valley is about as helpful and friendly a shop as you could wish to visit. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a stroll from my home in SE London.

Luckily last season I decided to give Angler's Base in Penge a visit. They are incredibly helpful and friendly too. There are always a load of staff to see to any requirements you may have an their variety of stock is good.

I popped over last weekend to get some terminal tackle and lobs for opening day. Bought a few weeks worth of bait as well as other odds and sods from the same shop the week before.
 
Went in my local tackle shop this afternoon for a couple of quids worth of bits and spent £22 on feeders and little odds and ends 'that might come in handy'. Hope I have similar success tomorrow on the river as the shop owner did today with me!
 
Went to my local tackle shop Anglers Base,this afternoon.Spent the best part of £40 on pellet,Maryuku silkworm powder,Guru X safe feeders and QM1 hooks sizes 12 to 18.Bring on the tench.

Tight lines all.

Think I spent about £300 in Johnson Ross, mainly on braids, line, leaders and 20 packets of ESP size 4 long shank hooks prior to a Morocco trip.

On reflection I do spend at least £1500 a year on bits and bobs I reckon.
