what rods ?

Barbel rods

Do the rods have to be new? A possible way forward would be to get a couple of second hand rods either from this site or EBay. For a £200, you can get rods which would have cost in the region of £200 each. I've done just that and been delighted with my purchases, and as a bonus, met some smashing people.

well after going and having a look at some fox dou,s and having a play with them in the shop and other rods i have ordered two 12 ft models from climax the 15ft looks good but just not my cup of tea for certain parts of the river i fish. I did however ask at my local tackle shop if they could order me some but they said no only the new version which is £170 . thanks for all your replys.

i'll also recomend the fox floodwater barbel. it might say 2 3/4lb test but the solid tip is nearer 2lb and great to play fish on. got mine a few years ago for carping of the top, 12' versions, and only recently came over to barbel so yet to have a bertie with them as not needed their sort of power as of yet. paid well under £100 from ebay for one and only £75:eek: from tacklebox dartford's bargain rack, not the sort of thing they usually sell so they outed it cheap:D. i got it as a method feeder rod originally but as said found it a good floater rod too
