11-6 Barbel

Hi Guys,
A lovely fish that anyone would be pleased to catch. An 11-6 is a 'big' fish in my book, I think sometimes we get a little blase ( apostrophe over the 'e' about relative merits of a 'lower double'.

Unless the young man has unusually small hands and the fish is grossly under nourished , I would guess the weight at nearer 13lb . I have looked at a couple of pictures of anglers holding 11lb fish where I know the weight is accurate and the angler is of average size to compare . The give away for me is the distance between the anal fin and the base of the tail, on an 11lb fish that distance would be filled by a normal size hand , it clearly isn't on the fish in question . Anyway it is a beautiful specimen whatever it weighs
