What Did Santa Bring You?

John Cook

Senior Member
Well my old maties did Santa bring you anything fishing related? For me it was a Medlar Press Book Be Quiet And Go A Angling by BB. A classic......

Dont suppose you want to hear about my socks and pants....;)

Hi me,

A Ridge Monkey toasted sandwich maker , a tripod for France to save hooking the scales onto the landing net handle again swinging about with sue trying to read the weight with a torch :D . Also a Kelly kettle , for our carping trips ;).

Hatter .

pair of preston innovations jogging bottoms and t shirt to match, cash which i will use for a club ticket and will have to add to what's left over as i could do with a new bib&brace..

Sounds like you two did fine with your angling related gifts....

Couple of vintage pins to go with my twigs.

In addition - books, music, films, smellies, chocolate, port, Black Sheep Ale and JD but thankfully no socks!

A new electric razor as i lost the charger for the one i got last christmas . A multi tool so i can pretend i am bear grils while on the banks of the nidd , a mullet!!! a decent pin an overwrap for my shelter and my first split cane rod :)

I fared quite badly. A cheap and cheerful mini tackle box thing arrived but it looked like it had been assembled by some meth head elf in a massive rush. Some of the swivels look ok though.

But in the world of weird gifts I am surely King with the present below from a deranged auntie. I was wondering if it might be some sort of prosthetic to enable to me continue fishing if I accidentally but brutally cut off my own hand whilst removing groundbait from under my finger nails. Reminded me of my very first action man. I believe it wasn't acquired from Ann Summers meaning I won't experience the embarrassment of last year's present from the same auntie. Mind you, that has at least proved useful for wrapping pre-tied rigs around although for obvious reasons I rarely take it to the bank.

Really hoping that someone can dethrone me now.

Howard.
Never has the tag " Attached thumbnail" been so apt.!

I got a do it yourself 50 mixed sized chinese slate tiles for the hall.

Subtle eh?

You've got one hand on the trophy I reckon Howard - some cold weather gear for me this year to help with this arctic winter we're currently experiencing..

Ditto Hatter, a Ridgemonkey for me too LOL

Hot sausage rolls, its the new "garlic bread" LOL

A bit sparse on the fishing gifts, a couple of books, and picked up a boxed (near mint) Intrepid Standard with some of the cash I received.
