What a prat

Arrived at the river for a session after work last Thursday to find I'd left my chair at home. It could have been a lot worse, but I wasn't looking forward to sitting on the cold ground for the evening. However, as luck would have it, I knew the only other angler on the stretch, and he kindly lent me a spare chair he had in his car, and saved my posterior from what turned out to be quite a cold evening!

A few weeks earlier I had to turn back half way to the river as my landing net and bait were sitting patiently in the yard where I'd left them before packing the van.

Seem's we're all guilty of having heads like sieves!

The worst I did, though not going fishing, was to a party where many were going to camp in the adjacent field, it being mid summer. A bivvy is perfect for that, and with a bed chair I would be the most comfortable, if not the most sober, of campers. A trip to Sainsburys for essentials and ready for a good night but upon unloading the car I discovered I had everything a camper could need except the bivvy! There was much amusement from non angling party goers and one or two curious looks that obviously said " so that's what a total imbecile looks like"..
