Good News all round

Hi Andy, congratulations to Claire and yourself mate on the news of the mk 2 francis, as for BFW well good news is good.:)

as most who know me will agree i always try to be impersonal but still make a point, the point is a lot of guys will not post if they feel they will be (for want of a better description) shouted down or their veiws ignored, hogging the boards by some is good sometimes but for most guys it can feel a bit intimidating trying to reply, as i have said before basic questions or asking about issues can bring lots of sensible and differing veiws which then ramble onto other stuff, this in my opinion was a large part of the recipe of success
for bfw in the past.

ok after all me grunting and groaning i do think that basically the site is a far better place now,
so guys & girls post up opinions on yer barbel fishing or anything connected with it and even a few comments on wot i just said even if its in disagreement
as i will try to answer you without getting shirty, so come on its us guys thats gonna either make it or break it:)....j.w

Hi Andy, I'm a recent 'returnee' as you might know. When the changes were made I took the opportunity to wean myself off internet forums for a while, which was a good move. I recently rediscovered BFW and agree with most posters that the tone has improved somewhat.
Congrats on the second child - I remember my second as a shock to the system as well, but not as much as the third!

All the best

Mike

Keep up the good work Andy. I'm pleased that it's worked out well:)

There's no doubt at all Andy, that it is through your and your team's desire and consequent hard work to see BFW become what it is now - a very pleasant place to be.

I won't say I told you so...

...did I just say that!:D

Regards

Damian

Have to say I think it was a good move, still get some good debates going.

Congratulations folks...

Congratulations to all concerned.
However it is such a shame looking at the membership list, that a large percentage of members choose not to post or post very rarely.
