WARNING - chill out!!!

Hi all,

It’s become obvious recently that there are some personality clashes on the forum that are manifesting themselves in public backbiting and tedious arguing. This is a poor advert for the site and is becoming VERY tiresome.

During these gloomy and depressing times we need the forum to be a place where anyone can read, contribute and enjoy without having to witness petit squabbling.

If it continues, we’ll withdraw the posting rights of anyone involved, regardless of how long, or much, you contribute to the site ‘on a good day’.

If you have an issue with a particular persons comment, and feel that you HAVE to follow it up in an unpleasant way, please do it privately.

Said it before, this is a great forum with great people on it. We can agree to disagree but as the old adage says " Opinions are like A**holes and every one has one" . I come here to learn and help if I can. I get plenty of aggro in my work life whether I want it or not, so this is a sanctuary. I occasionally go on one other specialist fishing forum and it's like a bear pit, just full of sycophants and keyboard warriors. I'm not shy but just don't bother contributing as I'll just get mauled for being a ' newbie' albeit I'm a much more accomplished **** angler than I am a barbel angler and dare I say the majority of contributors on that site. And after 30+ years of doing it I have nothing to prove to anyone. BFW is nothing like it ( thank god) and long may it continue. Well done ref.

I bet I can name that site, I quit it years ago for the same reasons you’ve said, there’s more teeth nashing on there than the beasts there after
