Hardy marksman 13ft specialist float rod. Wanted cash waiting.

If that is the case, how much is a Daiwa 13-15ft Tournament and it has never been used?...Bought from Veals of Bristol in 2011 as a redundancy present for myself.

Lots of those items reaching top money are simply due to scarcity to be honest.

Are the original Hardy Marksman that good?

Knowing that they were desirable I bought a few for around £175. RP was around £290.

I love using mine, and for two passed onto two of my Wessex pals they are their first choice for trotting the HA and Stour.

Acolytes. Too many of my pals have suffered broken tips. One has had 3 snap. Very thin blank.

Performance probably not. Acolytes are amazing performers as are the Hardy’s
but quality ............ yes twice as good and some.
hardy marksman stuff is absolutely grade A quality. Equal to that of any top end British custom build.
Thought you was gonna say and yeah I’ve got one rob that I’ll sell you 😂

I don’t I’m afraid. I’ve used a couple. My mate has the Avon with an extra butt ring designed for casting with a pin that I’ve used a few times. It’s absolutely beautiful. Ive certainly not got anything in my rod collection that beats it on quality. I’d love to own one.

Wifey treated me to a couple of 2lb Torrix early Xmas presents.

These were ordered before BFW started offering rods again

I’ve got a 15’ Supero, plenty of power for barbel if a little heavy. Also have a 13’ specialist which my brother trod on, it’s now 3” shorter ! Interestingly a mate of mine took his on a days fishing with a certain Mr Harrell, he wasnt very complimentary about them, said they were chinese blanks and he didn’t rate them ! I like mine jut fine.

I bought the Diawa Tournament Power 14ft float rod as recommended for barbel by Dave Harrell for about £270 but I didn't like it - far too tippy for my liking.

But Dave Harrell is a far better angler than me.
