Wanted float rod

Have decided its time to start fishing the river that is only a 5 minute walk from my house. Fancy doing a little bit of trotting but am after a decent rod for the job as the lightest I seem to have is my Avon rod. It'll mainly be used for silvers with the odd chub and bigger fish that the Thames can throw up. Let me know what you've got.
