Good quality light rod 11 - 12' - possibly with quiver push ins but not essential. Prefer a cork handle. Small rod builder would be nice. Age not really important. Looking for the rod to give to my lad so he doesn`t need mine!
Had a look on ebay but can`t really judge condition & postage is a pain. I think couriers will easily take a 2 piece rod these dyas. If you have something please pm. Many thanks, Julian

Suggest the TFG Barbel Banshee 3 piece, it is 12' 1.25 t.c pencil thin and light. with a quiver and avon top.

You can get them on ebay c.£40 or less and with free postage or with postage that amounts to much the same cost:rolleyes:

Edit..

Just checked...Ludlow Tackle do them for £39.99 free postage on ebay.

I have a Kev Baines Specialist. It's a 12 foot three piece. I don't say this lightly but it is most likely the best rod you will ever fish for barbel or chub with on a small to medium sized river.
I would let it go for £100.

Damian,

Is that built on the Harrison Tryptych blank by chance?

In trying to discover exactly what it was, Bill, so that I might get something built on a two piece blank (a few rod builders had seen it and had no idea), I sent it off to Harrison who discovered the rod was built by them for Anglers Workshop on a stepped up float blank with a cut down butt section. Currently still pestering Harrison to get something similar set up on a two piece blank because for me it has a real-world usable blank, and not something that locks up - to be confused with power.
For small and medium river work it is something special - one of those rods that seems happy with a couple of swanshot or three or four ounces of lead.

Regards

Damian
