Bump!!

A new direction in my fishing sees me still wanting another one, willing to pay top dollar!!

I have this rod with both Avon and quiver top section, 3 quiver tips, but one quiver tip is broken.

I will let you know if I want to part with it. If I can find a better 1.25lb rod.

I only bought mine with the avon top, the quiver tip section was an optional extra IIRC. There are better 1.25lrods out there, I have two in the DLST chimera avon but I specifically want the Daiwa for it's ability to handle big fish should they come along when I'm roach fishing in waters that are predominantly carp waters. I'm sure the DLST avons would cope but I know the daiwas do!

Glass tips can be bought and cut/sanded to fit most rods.

Indeed, this rod can handle big fish well.

I didn’t catch big fish with this rod, but I caught a 20lb Canada goose with it. I remember the rod bends nicely and landed the goose safely.

I will let you know if I want to part with it.

I had the model before this one in 11ft 1.25.
It was just a powermesh Avon pms not an ‘X’
Lovely rods the powermesh avons….. good luck in your search Bob. If I see anything I’ll drop you message. I’m often looking up second hand rods for the next bargain 😉

Bob,
There’s a chap on The Tenchfishers forum asking £120.00 for one. Problem is he’s in Oxford area. I’m happy to put in a bid for you and can probably collect it for you at Tenchfishers SGM in April but then there’s the problem of getting it to Stockton. (I don’t want to get involved with couriers). Alternatively I can pass on your contact details if you wish.
Regards
Bill

Thanks Bill.

I'm willing to pay top dollar for one, there's one in Harlow for £100 which I've asked on another forum about any member that commutes north to south being able to drop it in my area give or take a few miles!

I think £120 is a bit OTT, they were £78 brand new but I may have to bite the bullet, they're like rocking horse poo!

Where is the Tenchfishers meeting Bill?

Hi Bob
He does say the price reflects the rarity and has two tips, one which is cut down for quiver tips but no tips with it!
The SGM is at Windmill Hill Golf Club, Milton Keynes so a good walk from Stockton 🤣

Bob,
If you would like to PM me your contact details I’ll pass them on to “Tenchfisher” and have asked him the same. Can then leave you and he to see how you can go forward or not.
Regards
Bill
