Wanted,bfw i flood rod.

Btw I flood rod wanted to make pair.
Mine is a standard build with full cork handle .
If anybody has one that they no longer use I would be pleased to buy it .

Hi Chris, I have an older Chimera 3 which I believe is the same blank. 12ft, 2.25 test. Black finish, fuji rings and reel seat. Full cork with a black fuji wye butt cap. I know its not identical but it'll be very similar I'm guessing. I'd let it go for £150 if that any good to you?

Hi Kevin ,thanks for your reply .
Ocd is a terrible thing but if your rod is very similar I may be able to make it work .
Please can you send me some pics either on here or by text .
My mobile no is 07546371822 ,look forward to hearing from you .chris

As promised. Whereabouts do you live. I may be able to meet if the rod is what you want.

Hi Kevin thanks for the pics ,unfortunately my I flood is a gloss black with no weave pattern showing so it doesn't really work for me .
Yours looks a nice rod and it's a good price so I'm sure it would suit someone else .
Once again thanks for the offer .Regards Chris

No worries, I too like matching rods which is why I have three Chimeras, I couldn’t find one to match this so bought a new pair. I also have a mint pair of Torrix 2.25 which I bought last summer but I’ve barely used them!!

Is the Chimera 3 really the same blank as the BFW i flood rod ?.

I am not 100 percent however both are Harrison and I can only say that the chimera 3 is an excellent floodwater rod. I personally find them incredibly versatile, they out perform my heavier stiffer Diawa in difficult conditions yet somehow manage to be light enough to be a pleasure to use even without a lot of water on and most importantly they bend right through when big fish are fighting under your feet

Definitely not a Chimera blank.
More likely to be based on the Harrison Standard Specialist 2.25 blank...but @Bob Gill is the man who will know.
Although one of the prototype i-floods was produced with a carbon weave on the butt section, this was dropped in favour of a plain carbon rod to match the bfw i-power. They were issued originally with a tinted gloss charcoal finish. So, not a chimera.
Cheers
Bob
