Wanted advice on River tripods and bite alarms with receiver

Alarm wise you can’t go wrong with Delks
The original TXIs are always on eBay and have come down in price since the V2 appeared
I use EV-Ds which are brilliant so long as you don’t need a receiver ( I sit on my rods so not required)
Strangely they were discontinued after a short release ( I think they were almost too good for the money and a loss leader for the quality and technology you get) but also on eBay for £40- 50
Gardner ATTs are also highly regarded
My fishing buddy has used them for piking in all conditions since their launch and never let him down , same with the dellks.
I think a lot of the problems with the evd was they let a lot of water in and it’s the cost of repairing them that why there o. The mk 2 already

If your going the bankstick, which is imo best for the Trent 95% of the time, pair them up with Korums screw in butt cups. Which screw into the banks etc. I find straight pointed sticks better and not the screw ones as these push in far far easier than the screw in ones. Just a thought for u.

This. I fish the rocky tidal and can get banksticks in everywhere I’ve fished. I don’t even take the pod anymore. Absolutely rock solid setup with the butt cups, and I use Delkim TXI-D with snag ears so the rod is never going anywhere. If I just wanted some good alarms without spending a fortune, I’d get the Fox Mini Micron X 2 with receiver kit for £150.

Brilliant bits of kit.
Slots for isotopes too so you can see exactly where to slot your rod butts into

Thanks Paul, I’m thinking of getting the gardener atts because I like the idea of the silent feature with just lights for indication with a receiver for the audible side of things.

Yes Jon that’s what I’m thinking 🤔 👍🏻

Or you can set them to vibrate only, out it on top of your bucket, and it's enough to wake a ketaminned 🦛
Yes I like the idea of that function too 👌🏻 I think 💭 that’s the alarms sorted ✔️ I’m now wondering 🤔 if I need snag ears as an extra or will the snag ears that are already on the alarms be adequate? Mate

I've been using Fox micron sx digitals for 20+ years, bomb proof. If you come across any, highly recommended.

I bought 5 delk evd's from Rob Linwood and have to say, they seem to do everything you need, I even went so far as ordering the Union flag stickers for them but they're in my tackle room just in case the sx's ever give up. I've sold 2 on to my daughters bf, at a slight loss I might add Rob;)

I use the Gardner TLB+ alarms - You get the option of sound or receiver only.
I think that ATTS are bringing out a new alarm with that option very soon...
I also use a Defiant MPS Pod, but only tried it a few times. There is a thread on that if you search...

I didn't know that about the slots... thank you.
Yeah when I first bought mine a good few years back now, I made them as visible as possible because as I’m sure you know they are quite easy to lose or forget about when screwed into the grass. So I painted the K white and stuck a couple of isotopes in the slots. I can’t remember the size now but something like 10x2 rings a bell
