I wonder who told you that? I'm in Newark over the weekend if that's any good to you... £160 with isoblob included... it's got a bespoke handle... cork, but thicker around the reel handle for my organically grown hands.
 
Surely a rod of that value would be worth picking up over paying for and taking the risk to have it delivered.
Newark to Huddersfield and back is just a blast up the road.
