I cannot praise Terry enough what a gent and top seller. Absolutely delighted with the rods and the great deal he gave me. Just sad its 3 months till they can get tested on running water!!! How light is the acolyte its insane

Ridiculous isn't it it, it's got a lot more power than you'd think too.
I'd advise going to a pond pig venue to see what it can do before you're attached to a big Barbel come June.

Thanks Paul good advice and was already planning that. I've got a Browning carp match which i think is a bit stronger and managed several powerful barbel in the summer. I was actually looking to use it for fishing a speci waggler if certain swims allow. Being 13ft it won't have the same level as control as my Browning for trotting. Incidentally sounds like you use one what line do you match it with? Do you think its got a ceiling height in terms of what you expect of it? Thanks in advance Jon

Yes get down to your local commercial jon and try any new gear out on the F1,s skimmers etc it's all good fun in the close.

I actually fished a local intimate and slightly wild lake weekly after my last Wye trip as needed to fish regularly. Fished a home made quill float in the margins on the pin had some fantastic sport.
