Unhooking mat

85 cm is about 33 inches , the biggest barbel are more than that. I don't want to take a chance.
Some are end to end at full size but they certainly don’t cause any discomfort to barbel in the slightest.
all of these fish are between 14lb and 16,09 and as long as any fish afew pounds heavier from kw
The only gripe I have with the length is there’s not much room at the business end to unhook a long fish so you just simply raise its head slightly

Hi all
When you had a couple of 18lbs you soon realise that a standard unhooking mat of 90 cm (Drennan, Korum etc) is just not big enough!
I don't like Korum products but the super lite XL mat is JUST about big enough, and not too bulky, but as the wife says size really does matter!
I have a thing about Rucksacks and unhooking mats, always trying to find the perfect one.
IMO Mat should be 110-120 long by 55 with a small fold out kneeling flap. This allows enough room to manoeuvre the fish out of the net, on to the mat for unhooking.
Still looking for the perfect mat
Regards Wayne

The guru fusion is 122cm x 62cm and it looks a good product 👍

Take a look at the Cotswold Aquarius ultra specialist roll up Matt 👌🏻 a little bit pricey but could be just what you’re looking for? Mate
