Umbrella Repairs

Hi All
Recently broke a fibreglass rib / stay/ swivel part and put some holes in my Diawa umbrella, any suggestions on how to repair the rib, it's the swivel part that attaches to the rib. I have Brough some tent repair tape to fix the holes, but don't want to do it if I can't fix the rib. This is a quality lightweight diawa infinity brolly £65 plus!
Regards
Wayne

Just done something similar to my Fox Specialist brolly Wayne so I'm taking it into a tent repair specialist. Something worth considering?

Hi Wayne, i somehow managed to break my Diawa brolly, were it tilts, ( 60" flatback ), i contacted diawa, and they said if i pay the postage costs to get it to them, they would repair it free of charge, and return it at their expense. Amazing service. They didn't bother to do the repair, they just replaced it with a brand new brolly. Massive well done and thank you to Diawa. :)

This was a few years back, but worth a try. :)

I have always had excellent after sales care from Daiwa, mostly I admit, for their sea fishing gear, of which I have quite a collection.

May I add to this thread with a different sort of repair requirement.

The tape on some seams of my brolly has come unstuck or rotted away, has anyone found a way of re-fixing?, or even replacing?
