Trent tickets for trotting?

Steve Sorrell

Thinking of a change to my fishing next season and was looking to find a venue to catch barbel on the float in the summer/autumn.
Looking for a cheap ticket with good parking where the barbel wil respond to float tactics. Never fished the Trent but seems ideal given the head of fish.
The low head of fish in my local rivers makes float fishing nearly a waste of time.
Not interested in night fishing, quiet venue would be a bonus.
Big ask but anyone got any ideas??

Not a quiet venue but Ladypit Farm on the Scunthorpe AA ticket is great for float fishing. Only £55 for a year from the date of joining and they have some great stretches of the tidal Trent as well. Ladypit is where the Trent splits into two at Nabbs Island. Fast and shallow for most of the length.
