Your only half a mile down from beeston weir
I’ve caught some nice ones on the float from just above there. Some lovely shallow fast glides round that way. Good chub sport too

Good float fishing tho like you say Richard, used to be good for bream on the float too , in 3ft of water at twice walking speed

I’ve not fished above it before. I’ve fished below it a few times and it’s definitely good for a few chub and barbel on the float if you move about. Not prolific or certainly never been prolific for me but good for afew
