As a user of Harrison rods, they do make some very good tools for the job, i have at least 5 Harrison rods, and cannot fault any of them at all. My reason for buying Harrison rods, is because i personally require a custom built rod, and prefer, if i am going to shell out money, i want something unique and built to my own standards. However when looking at manufactured off the shelf rods, there is some very fine tools for the job, for those that dont require a custom built rod. The Daiwa Infinity, Korum Neoteric, Fox Duolite's etc, are first class purpose built barbel rods. It is a Torrix or I Power thread, but IMO its not the be all and end all of rods.

hi everyone
Ive been using the korum neoteric for a while now and handled and landed some good barbel on it..that said i prefer to use my greys prodigy 1.5lb for most work and have had no problems at all..Harrisons are cracking rods but i do feel alot of anglers including my good friend are just following clever marketing ploys and some famous anglers opinions which their bound to say because they have their rods usually for free..

Lets not forget chris yates has caught record carp and lots of big barbel on antique split cane rods that have more bends in them even before a fish is on the end..
