Thermal waterproof trousers

Chris for a long time I have used Snugpak salopettes, they are extremely warm, pack down to next to nothing and very comfy. I just use a set of ex Army goretex trousers over the top, this keeps them clean and that's maybe why they have lasted so long.

Prologic HighGrade Thermo Bib & Brace Fishing 100% waterproof

But you can buy the complete suit for £75 ! absolute bargain

A few years ago I picked up a pair of padded thermal snowboarders trousers in a sports shop sale, they are just the mutts nutts for keeping you warm and dry if you dont wear salopettes, I have used them a lot when fishing and have never ever been cold or wet in them, even in a downpour, in fact I am wearing them now, as I am off in an hour or so for a days beach fishing, only they will be worn under my chest waders.

I also have some of the Aldis best Bib and Brace, which also , for the price are the equal of anything costing five times as much.

I got some Sundridge/ Daiwa thermal sallopettes for £30 from my local tackle shop. Navy Blue and used by sea anglers , so far so good and a load cheaper than the ' specialist' stuff I was looking at e.g. Fox Chunk.
The German Army flecktarn goretex bib & brace are also very good for the money and I got mine with removable thermal trousers so great for all year round. Quite a few sellers on ebay/ amazon.

Hi, not really wanting sallopetes as i find them uncomfortable just need some thermal waterproof trousers if they exist

Tommo,

Have a look at Deerhunter. Ive used and worn this stuff for years. Its quality and pricey but very good. I dont have anything from the current catalogue but have a look at the Deer Winter trousers. I have something similar and just wear HH long johns underneath. They work well for all but the very coldest conditions.
