The Camera never lies. Or does it.

I'm afraid that altering my punctuation and therefore making it appear to be an account of Julian Clary's alleged meeting with Norman Lamont, only serves to detract from what was a genuine observation. I shall choose my words carefully in future and not stray from the restricted vocabulary of one of your unpaid artisans, lest I be misunderstood.;)

There is one wind up photo in the gallery that I'm told (perhaps wrongly??!!!?) that made the front page with someone elses head photoshopped onto the photo. In case I'm wrong, I'm not going to falsely accuse someone!

Put a picture up on BFW...................... not a f***ing chance!

Still it has managed to drum up five pages of interest, maybe it will keep us all busy during the close :D:D:D:D:D

I think Declan and Simon have really hit the nail on the head here. Very occasionally I see a picture and a weight claimed and have a chuckle, never quite sure --- This time I had a right belly laugh. Thanks for all the pm's and emails.

Having seen about 500 barbel a season for the past few, alarm bells ring if things look too inflated. But then again, as I said, sometimes the camera does lie, and I could well be be wrong.

Just to make clear it obviously isn't about my tongue in cheek comment to Jez and Ade on their Severn fish and the size difference of the captors either :D Having met them both they are 100percent.

And Adrian. You couldn't be more wrong above, especially very recently, but he's a very modest chap.;)

Graham,

I don't quite know how you can describe someone who is a regular blogger as a, "very modest chap", and you clearly missed the winky face in my last post. A 14 is a bit special, well done Tom.

This thread has amazed me. It’s an embarrassment to BFW and one that I regret not deleting when I first saw it on Friday.

So one of our long standing members has claimed he disagrees with the weight of a fish, though he’s not telling us which one! Fantastic.

We then get a load of opinion from other self-professed Photoshop experts who obviously don’t know what they’re talking about, pointing the finger at obviously genuine catches and photographs (I’m not an expert in many things but having run a multimedia company and personally recruited 100s of media artists, I do know Photoshop).

We now have a situation where an innocent angler has had a very special day tainted. He’s understandably very annoyed and has emailed me a large number of other photos of the fish in question (not that he needed to) proving beyond doubt that the doubters are talking utter tosh.

I hope the thread requesting an apology gets some use in the next few hours…
