Thames water what an embarrassment!

Just watched the Oxford & Cambridge boat race.... And laughed at the fact the crews were handed Wellington boots when they got out of the boats, for fear of catching something from the water...its not right for a so called developed country to accept this!
What an embarrassment, to know other countries around the world saw this!

I saw on their Facebook page that the new Thames Tideway tunnel had already diverted 6,376,450 Cubic Meters of sewage from the Thames. Yet they cannot give any figures for any of the Sewage 'treatment' works they run. They only publish hours which means nothing when trying to compare a small works with some of the vast sites they run.

I’m not sure how it works for Thames water etc, but there’s a website EA? where I live in Selby N.Yorkshire that shows all the discharge sites? Or just the one's that have monitoring available and shows how many hours they pump shit in individually, for the year previous, I only looked at the ones in the local tidal river Ouse and was surprised by how many smaller outlets there were all within a couple of miles, I didn’t look at all of the map as it was so depressing 😩

This is the Thames EDM map, because we have had little rain for a couple of months it does not show many discharges at the moment. Last year the majority of stw's were red most of the time. https://www.thameswater.co.uk/edm-map

It’s probably the same? as is with Yorkshire water, that not all discharge points have monitoring systems in place? I know of quite a few in my local area that are discharging constantly! Even when there’s been no rain for days or weeks! That don’t show on the map as discharging, I say to my friends that a couple of bags of fast setting post concrete would help 🤫 but no one is willing to help take on the task! 😉
