Terrible sight

Might have died from natural causes and some goon found it in margins and hung it up there for a hoot ?
East europeans dont kill fish for fun,, but for food surely.

Very plausible Adrian, but i reckon it would be some match angler type making a statement saying ' this is what you should do with Pike ' .... if so it's exactly what i'd like to do to him :mad:

There once was a committee member and matchman in the club i belong to, thankfully now gone :D who was only rebuked by the rest of the - at that time - match dominated committee..... for kicking a live jack pike all over the bank like a football, i dearly would have loved to have been there.

Mindless, brain dead morons, much better for everyone if that sort had died at birth.

Edit..... I'm certainly not tarring all match anglers with that brush, but there are still a few of the old school about that believe Pike should be dispatched immediatly

Does anyone remember the story about Dave Harrel tapping a pike on the head and throwing it under a bush on a match a couple of years ago? I think it was during the John Smiths festival at Evesham.
