Terrible First Day

My first day this season was on the Teme and I blanked - not so much as a knock. Just had two days on the Severn and another complete blank! I also managed to break the tip of my favourite barbel rod and snap off my car radio aerial on some overhanging branches! Oh, and the Chinese takeaway we had Saturday night was simply awful!!!!!

lol my first day went without bite or drama.... the second day however saw my new iphone 5 falling off the landing platform and into 4 feet of water

i got two hooks off a treble pike hook deep in my finger once when i was young..ended up at a&e with mum, they injected my finger to numb it then pulled out a pair of long nose plier things at which point my mum passed out and ended up being seen in the next cubicle and i ended up waiting for her

Surely all of this is material with which someone could pen a 'blues' song?

I fished for twelve hours on opening day for two taps. Four sessions later and all I have to show for my effort (which included prebaiting, wading in the river, clearing bankside swims and doing some logging) are two tiny chub. The last of these outings was yesterday evening. I got caught in torrential rain before I started. I'd decided to see if I could locate a bankstick with a camera adaptor attached that I'd lost on opening day and got drenched. It continued to rain when I arrived at my planned location until I'd set up and once I cast in I realised I'd left my phione on the front passenger seat of the car in a very vulnerable spot. I gave it half-an-hour before reeling the rigs in and going to retrieve it, getting soaked again in the process in the five-foot-deep vegetation. I ended up wearing a heavy fleece, a down jacket and waterproofs trying to keep out the cool breeze and blanked again! I was warmer in the middle of winter and caught more fish!

Surely all of this is material with which someone could pen a 'blues' song?

Or perhaps a comedy sketch show, Anthony? There's enough material for a whole series. Not sure the treble hooks embedded in Simon's finger, and his mother passing out would make it past the first edit, however.
