Tackle that has gone up in value

Sorry that is what I did on the Insight cannot remember where I got the whitlock replacement even though it needs changing again. Probably buy another fox spoon.

I had a surprise the other day when I 'watched' an original green drennan super specialist material bucket style carryall auction end at £30!
If I recall they only cost some £10 10-15 years ago.
Even the new, modern drennan specialist buckets cost under £15!

On ebay at present..These rods have sure gone up in value, had 3 of these over the years sold them for pennies, wish i’d kept em now

I’ve got 3 off “Old School” Del Romang Delkim Optonics which haven’t seen the light of day in thirty years. They are in very good condition but i’m amazed at the interest they’ve attracted on a club forum, I can’t remember how much I would have paid for them but i’m staggered that people are prepared to pay more for them than the asking price of modern day alarms. This time yesterday morning I would have taken £50 for the three and thought I was robbing someone but so far the offer is double and a bit more. There’s obviously an interest out there in retro tackle.

Have a look at this Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/267219520447659/

I sold a set of alarms to someone on here and got a lot more than I paid for them and old Delkims are very sought after ;)

I wished I still had the numerous personal letters and sketches Chris Yates, sent to me in the early 1980's during my Golden Scale club days, unfortunately my ex wife saw it highly amusing to dispose of this now valuable anthology of a bygone time....
