Swimfeeder vs. PVA

Hi All

For those who use either of these when Barbel fishing I was just wondering what your reasons were for using one rather than the other.

Matt

The pva mesh allows me to use a small lead which i think is less visible than the larger feeder.......For me just a confidence thing....

PVA mesh on rivers with a relatively small population of wary barbel where using large quantities of loose feed tends to be counter productive.
Large feeders on the Trent where I'll tend to use a pellet based groundbait mix rather than straight pellet and the fish aren't particularly shy of bait or feeders.

Generally PVA mesh for pellet, feeder for crumb. Althought I would also choose to use PVA and a light lead where I think the disturbance of retrieving a feeder might be an issue. There are also times when I've used both together.

Regards
Paul
